FAQs

  • Our CSA sign ups will remain open until they sell out, or until April 1st, 2021. Space is limited and we do anticipate the CSA to sell out again for 2021.

  • CSAs are picked up on either Wednesdays or Thursdays from 3-7 pm at Sunset Farm in Naugatuck. If you are unable to pick up your share, you may send someone in your place or skip your share for that week. We do not make up produce for vacations or missed pick ups.

  • We do not spray any pesticides or use synthetic fertilizers. We are committed to transparency about our growing practices. This is a more labor intensive and challenging way to farm, but we strongly believe in organic practices.

  • We, the farmers, choose the items in the shares each week. We grow a variety of vegetables including tomatoes, peppers, squash, eggplant, carrots, beets, radishes, lettuce, potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, etc that you will receive in your share when they are in season. We do not grow corn.

  • Payment plans are available. Please reach out to us about the details of a payment plan or if you would like to use EBT to purchase a CSA.

Why join a CSA?

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. Joining a CSA is a easy, sustainable way to get weekly produce directly from a local farm. Most produce in the grocery store travels hundreds, if not thousands of miles before it makes it to your plate. The vegetables you receive in a CSA are harvested several miles from your home and make it to your plate hours after they were harvested. Joining a CSA also means supporting a local business here in Naugatuck.

Our CSA has sold out since we began offering the program in 2018. With over 50 members last year, we grew and reached many people in our community. Joining a CSA is a commitment for our members. Every week, our dedicated members show up to receive their vegetables. We love our members and many have become close friends. We aim to foster community through our CSA in Naugatuck.

Farm Stand

The farm stand is located at the end of our driveway on the left. The farm stand is open from May-October on Fridays and Saturdays.

We accept EBT, Senior and WIC voucher checks, cash, and credit cards.

Our goal is to make our food accessible to everyone through a variety of payment methods.
